Im Space Innovation Hub freuen wir uns darüber das NATO Space Centre of Excellence (COE) als Partner für ein gemeinsames Webinar gewonnen zu haben.
In dem Webinar wird das NATO COE seine Mission und Aufgaben vorstellen: Unterstützung, Expertise, Beratung und Empfehlungen im Bereich der Raumfahrt zum Nutzen der Raumfahrtgemeinschaft der NATO-Allianz. Das NATO Space COE arbeitet durch vier zentrale Säulen:
- Konzeptentwicklung und Experimentierung,
- Doktrin und Standardisierung,
- Bildung und Training,
- Analyse und Lessons Learned.
Diese Säulen helfen der Raumfahrtgemeinschaft in der NATO, zukünftige Fähigkeiten zu antizipieren. Dazu gehört es auch neue und disruptive Technologien (Emerging and Disruptive Technologies – EDTs) aus der Industrie, Institutionen und der akademischen Welt zu erkennen und zu bewerten.
Des Weiteren wird der Prozess zur Registrierung im Space Actor Register (SAR) erläutert. Das SAR ist eine einfache Möglichkeit die Sichtbarkeit von Akteuren, die EDTs entwickeln, innerhalb der NATO-Raumfahrtgemeinschaft zu erhöhen.
Mit Partnerschaftsvorschlägen, die mit den Aktivitäten des NATO Space COE übereinstimmen und mit dem Arbeitsprogramm des COE konform sind, können sich Unternehmen noch stärker einbringen. Dieser Prozess wird ebenfalls näher beleuchtet.

Webinar „Presentation of the NATO Space Centre of Excellence (COE) and its activities“ on 3 June
The Space Innovation Hub is pleased to host a joint webinar with the NATO Space Centre of Excellence (COE).
In the webinar, the NATO COE will present its mission and tasks: To provide support, expertise, advice and recommendations in the space domain for the benefit of the NATO Alliance space community. The NATO Space COE works through four central pillars:
• Concept Development and Experimentation,
• Doctrine and standardisation,
• education and training,
• Analysis and Lessons Learned.
These pillars help the NATO space community to anticipate future capabilities. This includes recognising and assessing emerging and disruptive technologies (EDTs) from industry, institutions and academia.
The process of registering in the Space Actor Register (SAR) will also be explained in the webinar. The SAR is a simple way to increase the visibility of actors developing EDTs within the NATO space community.
With partnership proposals that are in line with the activities of the NATO Space COE and conform to the COE’s work programme, companies can become even more involved. This process will also be explored in more detail.
